Look back at the 2nd edition of L’Étape Dubai !

On January 25th, 2026, L’Étape Dubai by Tour de France presented by Škoda returned for an highly anticipated second edition, and confirmed its status as a one of the best cycling event in the Middle East. Bathed in a perfect winter sunshine, the event welcomed more than 1,000 riders for an unforgettable day on the bike, with the exceptional presence of cycling legends Peter Sagan and Zdeněk Štybar.

Launched for the first time in 2025, L’Étape Series by Tour de France marked its arrival with a unique project that turned into a huge success. From its inaugural edition, L’Étape Dubai impressed both participants and cycling experts, setting high expectations for its second edition. Those expectations were not only met, but also exceeded.

Riders of all ages and cycling levels gathered early in the morning to experience the true Tour de France spirit. From Kids and Family rides organized on Saturday to the main competitive races on Sunday, L’Étape Dubai offered a challenge for everyone, creating a vibrant and inclusive cycling festival in the heart of the city.

During the race, participants rode through some of Dubai’s most iconic locations, with breathtaking views over the city's skyline, the Burj Khalifa, Global Village and Expo City. The unique contrast between world-class cycling and ultra-modern landscapes once again set L’Étape Dubai apart from any other amateur event.

On the road, the presence of former world champions added a special dimension. Zdeněk Štybar shared his experience and passion with riders throughout the day, while Peter Sagan electrified the atmosphere with his trademark charisma.

Competition was fierce at the front of the race, with impressive performances in both the men’s and women’s events. The winners were crowned after fast and tactical races that showcased the growing level of amateur cycling in the region, cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd at the start and the finish of the course.

With flawless organization, stunning scenery and world-class ambassadors, the second edition of L’Étape Dubai established the event as a must-ride destination within the L’Étape Series by Tour de France. More than just a race, it was a celebration of cycling, community and the Tour de France spirit. And a strong promise for an even brighter future.
